Satori Bjj was founded in 2013 ( May 16th ) by brothers John & Patrick Sheridan , Coming from Karate / Kick Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts back-rounds respectively. Both brothers were drawn towards Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as their main focus and passion since then, committing to full time training and coaching.
John has 33 years martial arts experience, is a Black Belt European and World champion in Karate, a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and European champion at the coloured belts and has also competed in Kickboxing, Boxing, Judo and Wrestling to help round out his skill set.
Patrick has 28 years martial arts experience, is one of the only BJJ Black Belts in the country to hold a degree in sports coaching, and has competed and medaled nationally/internationally in BJJ, MMA, Karate, Wrestling and Kickboxing.
We want our athletes to learn to compete because we want them to compete for the best positions in life. We want them to learn how to create and maintain a great team culture because we want them to build strong family cultures. We want them to both lead and follow because our country needs them to be the next generation of leaders.
We want them to learn to commit and sacrifice because we want them to become great parents. We want them to learn to be accountable, selfless, disciplined, mentally tough athletes so as parents they will know how to raise young people the same way. We want them to learn and demonstrate integrity, because the young people in their lives will learn about integrity by watching them.
